JEDDAH: Saudi women entrepreneurs are not only leading their households financially but also spearheading AI adoption to power their small businesses. GoDaddy’s 2025 Global Entrepreneurship Survey highlights their resilience, confidence, and strategic use of technology in shaping a new era of innovation.
The survey reveals that 57% of small businesses in Saudi Arabia are women-owned, with 85% of these launched in the past five years. This growth underscores their increasing presence in entrepreneurship, especially in overcoming challenges posed by the post-COVID economic climate.
Saudi women entrepreneurs are leveraging AI to enhance efficiency, with 83% expressing confidence in their business capabilities. Additionally, 84% believe AI will help them compete with larger firms in the coming year.
AI-powered tools, like GoDaddy Airo®, are helping women save an average of 11 hours per week, which they reinvest into skill-building (48%), future business planning (53%), and generating creative ideas (53%).
A remarkable 28% of Saudi female entrepreneurs are the primary income earners for their households, contributing to economic growth and job creation. Optimism is high, with 59% feeling very positive about the future and 70% expecting business growth in the next 3-5 years.
Women entrepreneurs find fulfillment in financial independence (54%), family support (41%), and skill development (39%).
